Teaching

From autumn 2015 to autumn 2017, I have been demonstrator for 3rd year students for ROCO 318 - Mobile and Humanoid Robots. I was in charge of a practical work about bipedal walking, where students have to optimise gaits and to design and implement a line following algorithm with the Drake Robot, a robot developed at Plymouth University and used for teaching.

Background

I have a background in robotic engineering with a B.Sc. in Micro-Engineering and a M.Sc. in Robotics and Autonomous Systems from EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland. During my master project, I worked on hybrid optimisation of locomotion for the modular robot: roombots. Some of the achievements accomplished during this project were:

  • first execution of gaits for structure of 3 and 4 modules with the real prototype.
  • first execution of reconfiguration between two structures with appropriate gaits.
  • first execution of docking on a grid with a metamodule. (achieved in a post-master short time contract).
